In her capacity as a staff archivist at History Factory, Tamera supports the team in Chantilly in processing, arranging and cataloging various corporate heritage collections. Her goal is to apply her research and archival knowledge while gaining new skills in the fields of corporate history and memory.
Previously, Tamera’s media career took her through the doors of PBS, AOL, NBC, NASA, Verizon and the Smithsonian. Recently, she served as curatorial assistant to the exhibit “To Live and Breathe: Environmental Justice in Greater Washington” at the Anacostia Community Museum. Her most memorable independently produced project was “Inns of Color,” a video series highlighting how segregated accommodations before the Civil Rights Act of 1964 led to enterprising African American innkeeping. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, watching documentaries, and fitness and wellness.
